Insightandperspective.co warrants that all communication to / with this site shall be treated with respect and dignity. Where evidently noxious, destructive or mean spirited dialogue is strongly discouraged.
Insightandperspective.co reserves the right to make public and PUBLISH any POST made by correspondents to this site; with this being the purpose of discussion, communication, criticism, information sharing, and hopefully, enjoyment. Communications by private email to insightandperspective.co will not be published on this site unless directed to, and with explicit permission granted by the author of the said communication.
Also, should anyone wish to speak to, or discuss matters that are of a more intimate or personal nature and wish these matters to be restricted between them and the website only, insightandperspective.co will maintain this confidentiality and discretion, as expected by the website and the correspondent.
At all times insightandperspective.co will endeavour to maintain the PRIVACY of all those who correspond with the site: no names, identifying information, email, social media, or physical addresses will be released to any individual, group, or corporation or business entity unless directed by the author(s) with such permission explicitly obtained from the author by way of the same email address in which the information is contained, and with the agreement of insightandperspective.co.
Insightandperspective.co is meant to be a safe space in which to air opinion, obtain or argue alternative viewpoints, share thoughts, and, hopefully, to engage critical thinking skills. And, dammit, have a little bit of fun and a few laughs where possible. To these purposes the site will be an open forum; most any manner of speech, opinion, and information and any subject under the sun, and beyond it, is welcomed. Basically, the goalposts are wide apart, to use a football analogy. As they should be.
Insightandperspective.co will not entertain nor publish any POST or communications that support, incite, encourage, direct, or otherwise promote hate speech / actions, violence against individuals or groups, hurtful, prejudicial speech / behaviour, or illegal activity that contravenes state / provincial or national laws. Insightandperspective.co acknowledges and takes full responsibility for any comment, POST, or article published by the owner of insightandperspective.co, but will not take any legal or moral responsibility for the communications by any correspondent to this site, with the full understanding that all communications will be audited as stated above as reasonably and carefully as they can and should be.
ACCURACY AND AUTHENTICITY
Insightandperspective.co will strive at all times to publish in its POSTS, comments, emails, and other communications information that is both AUTHENTIC and ACCURATE. For the purpose of this website, AUTHENTIC is defined as “worthy of acceptance or belief as conforming to or based on fact” and “not false”, as per the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. .
ACCURACY is also a standard held in high regard by this website, as defined in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary also: “conformity to truth or to a standard or model (exactness)” and “: degree of conformity of a measure to a standard or a true value.”
This website WILL NOT in any manner, knowingly, incorporate any inaccurate or inauthentic material in any of its communications, unless such information is included for purpose of discussion or illustration; any such inclusion will be noted clearly in the body of the communication. Insightandperspective.co will not seek to misrepresent, misconstrue, or mislead its readers / users in any way whatsoever.
Mistakes can, and, unfortunately, will be made. The authors will make every attempt to ensure the above standards are met but perfection is a finicky game, and some things will be missed. If at any time the users of this website come across any information on this site that is false, inaccurate, or otherwise misleading, they are encouraged to contact the website at speak@insightandperspective.co to make the author(s) aware. Perhaps, even, the authors may be contacted about such problems in subsequent POSTS as this may allow for an expanded discussion of the matter at hand.
ATTRIBUTIONS AND PLAGIARISM
Insight and Perspective is open to original thought and civil discussion of most topics. It is to be understood, as well, that any ideas, communications, information, assertions, fact, etc, that are those of others should be acknowledged as such. Direct quotations of other person’s work, thoughts, publications, or communications should be attributed to the originator, and where possible, notes and bibliographies provided. This would be appreciated. Please appreciate that we believe that respect for original thought or publication is important; plagiarism is a significant problem and it should not be facilitated by anyone.
That being said, any and most discussions that take place will, invariably, contain ideas, thoughts, discussions, and assertions that many will have been made elsewhere and by other persons. After all, there is “no new thing under the sun” (Ecclesiastes). So let’s not “sweat the small stuff” (Carlson, R “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff”, 1997). Didn’t really need the attributions here, but what the hell, did them anyway.
